A sampling of updates:
- This is not actually onsite, but we wanted to mention an extensive
webpage on Hunger's
Brides developed
by Swiss educator Hans G. Fischer for use with students of English. The
page includes author
readings and background interviews recorded during Anderson's
tour of Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the fall
of 2005. (1 January 2006)
- Is Hunger's Brides a mystery?
An author introduction to this aspect of the novel written for a reading
at M is for Mystery bookstore
on September 30th, 2005, in San Mateo, California. (23 September)
- Lovely Mac OS X Screen Savers - (only for Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4) - see
here. (15 September)
- We're fairly pleased with this one: a three-part (reader/moderator/author)
guide for reading groups and book
clubs. We also have a collection of study guides for academic purposes
reading to go but not yet posted, pending academic clearances. (7 September)
- A number of elements, including
digital video clips shot the night of Caracol, an evening of multimedia
and readings from Hunger's Brides on the theme of music. Fair warning:
The author was sweating out a fever and laryngitis, the cameraman was
pursuing a quite indecipherable cinematic strategy; but the actors (when
you can see them) do just fine. (11 April)
- A multimedia clip offering
a reading of one of Sor Juana's best known sonnets, interpreted by the
celebrated Mexican actress Zaide Silvia Gutiérrez. (5 April)
- Two interview clips featuring
a delightful musical group called The Voices of Sor Juana. Spanish with
English sub-titles. (4 April)
- Four new audio files from
Mexican choral group "Voices of Sor Juana," music students
at the Mexican National Arts Centre. (2 April)

Weaver, host of the TV program Fine Print: Where books can take
you. (29 March)
